At this point in time, Mary was probably thinking:

"Stop kicking me in the ribs, kid...only a few more days and I'm pushing you out, even if you aren't ready...how am I going to get rid of all baby-weight I've gained...stupid uncomfortable donkey...if only I could get a mayonaise, pickle and peanut butter sandwich...better yet, how about stupid, uncomfortable, non-airbag equipped, can't get a decent radio station to save your life, donkey sandwiches...that damn-fool husband of mine better not be trying to skimp on our hotel room and he better NOT hope he is watching the game this Sunday...I need a foot rub...I sure hope your head is round...I can't believe Joseph thinks the kid's name should be Clarence, men are so dumb...Where are we anyway...why doesn't he stop and ask for directions?...Isn't this Cleveland?...men NEVER ask for directions because they know EVERYTHING...I swear, this is going to be a formula baby...ouch!! stop kicking me...

Come on!! You KNOW she was...

You are so wrong to say those things. I'm sure that is not what she was thinking. But, everyone is entitled to their opinion.

Yes, Mary was a normal human.
No, she was not immaculately conceived.
Possibly, she was uncomfortable at times when she was pregnant. But that doesn't mean that she didn't understand the import of what she was doing. After all, she'd been told by an angel.

I think Mary was a normal mortal woman; and I believe Jesus was a normal mortal man.

I believe Jesus was very special; but I do NOT believe he was deity.

Throughout the bible Jesus called himself "the son of man", and the ONLY place in the bible where Jesus professes to be the ONLY son of God or Deity is in the third chapter of John.

I think the book "Holy Blood: Holy Grail" and "The Da Vinci Code have got a lot right.

The Birth of Jesus Christ
18This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit. 19Because Joseph her husband was a righteous man and did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly.
20But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, "Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 21She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus,[c] because he will save his people from their sins."

22All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: 23"The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel"[d]—which means, "God with us."

24When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife. 25But he had no union with her until she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus.
