It's not arrogant to say that when you are God. It sounds like a loving God who wants to warn the world how to find salvation before it's too late. I tell you what is arrogant; to stand up and publicly deny the diety of God. Scary too.

Is it arrogant of a pilot to say, "I'm the only one here who can safely land this plane. Let me steer"? How about if you're drowning and the lifeguard says, "I'm the only one who can save your life. Grab my hand." If the person who says it is telling the truth and if he's saying it because he's offering that everlasting life to you, then it's not arrogant and it's not self-righteous. It's hope.

Yeppir, I agree. People forget that religion is man-made, twisted to control the populace by fear. True spirituality is the loving caring essence of God that we can tap into at any time. Fear and arrogance are the human thought not the spiritual heart essence. I believe we are simply devine spirits on earth having a human experience.

Arrogant:1. making claims or pretensions to superior importance or rights; overbearingly assuming; insolently proud. Well lets see- He claims superior importance- but backed it with humble death and glorious Resurrection... He wasn't assuming- since He is God and is just stating truth... and was He proud- He came as a servant- so actions no- words yes. Since words were truth and His actions backed those words- I say He could say whatever He wanted.

Because when our God, Jesus, says it, He is not being self-righteous nor arrogant.
He is simply telling you the Truth.
Perhaps it is arrogant to you as you cannot fathom the greatness and glory of God.
