Listen, you can be old earth and still be Christians, but some of you are starting to scare me. There is absolutely no way a global flood would be possible. A flood, however, centered in the only populated area of the world at the time, the middle east, would be very possible. And if you think about it from the perspective of Noah, who sailed for so long without finding land, it must have certainly looked like the flood was global.

The rock records disprove the possibility of a global flood. The sentiment could not possibly have formed the way it had if the flood was global. Plus, if the flood were global, it would have destroyed all trees and plants, along with animal life. This would leave Noah and all of the animals absoluetely nothing to eat when they reached land. It would be a baren wasteland.

There is a point of having faith, but also looking at interpretations and viewpoints of the authors of such stories.

First thing... God caused The Flood.
2. God is the creator.
3. God can make all the water he needs.
4. The water was only around for a year. And. there was no
sediment because there was no land for it to wash
from..every thing was under water
5. God provided what was needed to survive the trip. And could easly restore the needed plants.
6. when the extra water was no longer needed God removed it

God makes the rules.... God can do what he wants with this earth.... however I do agree with you about the geological record showing, as you call it, an old earth.... it just don't disprove The Flood.

I am sorry. I don't know your point of reference. I as a Christian am sure there will never be a global flooding. Any true bible believer would agree. The Lord plainly said he would never again destroy the earth with a flood. Never. So nope, it's not gonna happen. The destruction of all is possibly where Daniel and John both saw the "earth melt away with a fervent heat".

If you are disputing the original flood, well get on board and get in line. Disputing doesn't make it go away. Truth is not altered by doubt. It happened. Believe it or not.

all we, as Christians, can do is believe what the Bible says. The Bible tells that God flooded the Earth and destroyed all of mankind except Noah and his family. I know there are many people out there that just can't understand this type of thinking. Jesus died on the cross to pay for our (yours and mine) sins.

Yeah...it's a little frieghtening.

here's a story:

About 3 years ago, I took an anthropology class in college. I sat next to this beautiful redheaded girl, whom I very much would've liked to have mated with, whom I had planned on asking out.

that was until we started discussing evolution. She laughed at the teacher when he started talking about evolution, and started spouting non-sense about man and dinosaurs co-habitating the earth, and how fossils were buried by satan to make christians question their faith, and how she was a young earth christian.

I thought, "way to judge a book by it's sexy redheaded cover, Johnny...."

it was extremely frightening to hear someone who was otherwise very intelligent make statments like the ones she did.

I think you should look into the work of Gerald Schroder. He is an orthodox Jew who argues for young earth creationism. He also teaches nyclear physics at MIT. His work is impressive enough to have Antony Flew (I hope you know him) consider the merits of the Bible.

You sound just like an antediluvian. I thought all of you people went extinct during the flood! You have no belief in God, or you would not hold such Biblically ignorant views. Leave the evolutionist and get back with God. Study His word, research it, and regain your faith.

Its so touching, but why? Though secrets are hidden to the gods we can still predict a sample of it - they are trying to plun the earth from evil. The next one will be America.

You got to be kidding me right? You do know that’s junk science don't you? Academia has brainwashed the culture and the empty students into believing man is a primitive creature and the dinosaurs lived ages before him. This is the result of pseudo science and theories of evolution being taught as near fact in schools. If it was proven then it would be called the law of evolution wouldn’t it smart guy?

I wan't aware that God could not have pulled this off. Amazing how he could have created everything from nothing but this whole flood thing was way to difficult for him.
