My personal opinion is that she will be getting TONS AND TONS of stuff for the baby at her baby shower. Soon, she may start to feel "left out", how about something more towards pampering the new mom? Trust me, about 3 months after the little one is born, she's gonna NEED it!!

Looking at this from a business point of view, I wouldn't get her anything. There are two problems I see with giving bosses gifts. 1) If you were to get promoted or recieve some kind of perk after giving the gift, other employees may see some kind of discrimination and there could be a law suit. 2) When ever you receive a gift at work, you are supposed to record it on your taxes as income. I know that my boss won't accept any gifts because of this reason. He doesn't want to have to record it as income. This is a hard situation to be in, but I think she will get plenty of gifts at showers, parties, etc.

I think that would be a very sweet gesture. If the baby is due soon maybe a little outfit etc or if she's still early on maybe a book on pg or parenting?

only if she's talking about it incessantly. Otherwise, just wait for the baby shower. She's going to want some gifts for herself. Maybe get her something that might make her pregnancy more comfortable.

I think that you could go either way this year, something for her or something for her baby. Next year though better get something for Mom; she'll make sure the baby has everything it needs, but mom will want something for herself.

Probably not...mainly because your office will most likely throw her a shower when it gets closer to her due date. Give her something especially for her that she can enjoy pregnant or not.

I don't think so. It would be nice for you to get her something for herself. She'll be recieving gifts for the baby and little for herself from now on...
