Tab's answer was good. Girls often prefer presents that pamper them, rather than useful ones. If you want to show you're not too over-protective of her, send her to get a massage from lots of male masseurs

A nice piece of jewerly. Something that says, "I like you enough to spend this amount on you" (not TOO much), but probably not a ring. A beautiful necklace or bracelet, watch or something. Oh, and dinner!
