A mani-pedi, also known as a nice manicure/pedicure at the local nail shop.

Usually runs between 25-35 dollars for the spa chair (it massages your back and heats up) while your feet soak in warm menthol scented water.

Absolutely a great gift for any time of the year.

Another suggestion would be a nice planner/journal type book that she can keep her plans and appointments in. They run anywhere from a few dollars to a few hundred.

Try looking at the local Staples or Office Depot.

Good luck!

Always remember that the "reward" for graduation is the acctual diploma.

Now, the gift under $40 for a girl...well if she is starting out on a career, then maybe something like a better breifcase or related (though that can be pricey). For something fun, maybe something for the house such as a set of wine glasses.

Have fun!

If you can think of any graduation gifts that would be good for a graduate of either gender - that might be what to give the young woman who is graduating.

How about a nice leather bound agenda? Or a cross pen and pencil set (kind of cheesy, but traditional- I've had my set since I graduated in '82 and love it and think of my brother, the giver, every time I use it).
