I just spoke to my mom over the phone (who has chronic pain due to degenerative disk disorder) and she was prescribed a nerve pill (dont know the name) but when I talked to her she was stuttering so bad I could barely recognize her. she swears she feels fine but just cant get her words out. Has anyone heard of this? maybe even know the name of the pill?

Yes, speaking difficulties can be a side effect of medications and are usually listed as a reason to tell the doctor of any adverse reactions. Medications that can cause this include seroquel, zyprexia, and ritalin.

Not personal heard of any case like this but it is very possible your never pill that shes taking is suppressing her nerves so that they cant send out high pain signals and in turn may effect other nerve's to such as motor skills
