In south GA there were some men who roasted a PUPPY in an oven for fun!!!!! that is soo cruel. Supposedly the puppy's nails were all bloody and stubby from trying to scratch out the oven. This was like a game to them. Why would someone do this. the puppy did not do anything!

By the way, the oven was ON and the puppy was 5 months old. The boys were 17 and 19 and they ducktaped the puppy's muzzle shut and both paws together

Because there are some people that just do not feel empathy of any sort. They have no conscience, and are not sorry for what they have done or plan to do in the future.
They are the scum of our species and will do worse if not stopped.
The people who do things like this are the ones that end up killing humans!
Hopefully they will be prosecuted and locked up before they get to that point. Maybe THEY should be roasted alive!

I LOVE MY PETS, I LOVE MY PETS, when the news shows this kind of behavior I love my pets more and more., and do anything I can to make them more safe and happier. Course they love me already. I am sorry that there are so many disturbed people that could be so cruel, but I read on CNN about an incidents that do not involve a pet, but an infants, (i am sorry, but it was about a microwave) My heart is just ripping apart on how people react nowadays. Will the media EVER stop sensationalizing on tragic situations and report, assist, or I don't know just talk about news that Americans can actually be a part in resolving situations? Have you noticed if you hear about something tragic in the news that the copy cat thing comes up? Gosh though this question is good........what will happen next?

A few years ago I followed a story of a kitten who was tossed into a hot bbq grill for the sheer pleasure of a bunch of beer drinking men. The kitten was rescued by a woman who heard the laughter of the men and the screeching of the kitten but was later euthanized due the severity of it's injuries. Incredibly, the DA elected not to file charges against the men because the woman couldn't say with any degree of certainty which one of the men placed the kitten there. Apparently there's not a "good samaritan" law that pertains to animals that are being tortured.
Good grief.

If you watch cable TV and tune in to Animal Planet's Animal Cops, you would see that there are many people who torture, murder and abuse animals. You would also see that in many places stricter laws are now in place to give some serious time in jail or prison to offenders.
The men you speak of are selfish and greedy. They care nothing about anything or anyone except for themselves and their own pleasure, as weird as that might be.
These men are murderers and they deserve to be tossed in prison for no less than 2 years and be banned from ever owning any animals.

Because they were mentally ill people with no self esteem and it makes them feel good to be able to harm a helpless creature. It makes them feel big and bold. And if you heard about it I am sure that the authorities did too. Hopefully they will be charged with felony animal abuse. Taking a harmless puppy's life will mess up the rest of theirs (with a felony on their background check).

Because humans are a violent, and creative species. Put the two together and you get some of the most horrifying things ever done. Historically we have tortured each other, other animals, etc.
It's terrible to hear about though.

I would like to take a few years "reeducating" those wretched ******. They wouldn't come out looking the same that's for sure. And they wouldn't have any "quality of life" left either. May God judge them according to their deeds.

This is exactly why there are animal cruelty laws. These people belong in jail, in a box, in the hot sun, without water.
