Protestants usually give an answer that basically says "your God is good for you and my God is good for me, why does it matter what you believe about God as long as its what you like?"

Why do Protestants believe that who God is and what He teaches depends on the preference of each person?

Isn't this like trying to make God conform to us and our will? Isn't it really idolatry to do this since the god they make is in their own image?

Christ left us with one apostalic Church that He promised would always be there, a city set on a hill for all the world to see.

Before the Eastern schism in 1054, there was one Church which was united with the Pope as the sign of unity to the rest of the world.

Now, there are over 33,000 Protestant sects, each with their own religion based on the agenda of the man or woman who founded it.

Like I said earlier it is how Satan would like it to be. The division instead of unity. The word of God can now be interpreted by human reasoning which we know by St Peter that there is no personal interpretation of Sacred Scriture. You need an athentic and authoratative interpretation which can only come from the Holy Apostolic Catholic Church Who recognizes Christs' teachings in faith and morals which have never changed.

I do not know what Protestants you have been talking to, but that dose not sound like an aswer that any I know would give. I am not a Protestant( those being ones who split from the Roman "church"). And I for sure aint Roman catholic. I will tell you that there is only One True Church. There has only been one True Church since the day of Pentacost following The Assention of Jesus The Christ.

All who come to God in The Way He prescribes will receive His free gift of Salvation and will become of The Body of The Church of which Jesus The Christ is The Head. That is The Church and those who are members are of The True Christian Faith. Where two or more are gathered in The Name of Jesus The Christ, that is where The Church is.

Face it, when Catholicism decided that it could change the scriptures to support it's own ideas, it lost credence with many of the people. The Catholic church is sooo far removed from what the early church was designed to be that it is hardly to be considered Christian anymore. Just look at the tenets of the Catholic church that have no Biblical basis. Infant baptism, immaculate conception, penance, purgatory, a pope, elevation of saints, worship of Mary, confession, vespers, indulgences. Do Catholics even use the Word of God in their religion anymore?

it truly is not. The Catholic Church and the eastern Orthodox Christian Church are both old, both being the end results of the entire Schism of 1054 at the same time as Christianity chop up in 2 and new names were needed. The bishop of Rome grew to change into the first Catholic Christian pope, and the last Christian bishops -- Constantinople, Alexandria, Antioch, Jerusalem -- persevered as authorities contained in the newly-named eastern Orthodox Christian Church. both church homes have apostolic succession, the Fullness of reality, and each and each and every of the Sacraments.

You should know that there are differences in the interpretation of some places in the bible and the way of doing things differs which makes it impossible for churches to unite moreso some have their reasons for opening churches but the good thing about it almost all are doing it for the glory of GOD which is the ultimate aim of christianity. My wish is the same as yours but not possible

Global Community, One World Order, One Holy Church, sounds like Revelations! The end is near... Ask the President of Iran, he tells us about it everyday... I am pretty sure he is the antichrist.

I only know one thing...

God's Word will not come back void.

If we follow the Bible instead of man we will be 100% better off.

The Bible doesn't lie or skew things. Men (humans) are fallible. We make mistakes even when we are trying not too.

AMEN! God does not conform to us, but us to Him. There was only one church that Jesus founded 2006 years ago. He gave St. Peter the "key to Heaven.." and told him,"whatever you allow(loose) on earth will be allowed in Heaven, and whatever you forbid on earth will be forbidden in Heaven." He never told him to go and make Baptists, 7th day adventists, etc. God bless!
