Its human nature to have some level of comfort in their lives... If all religion is about explaining that which nobody can answer then why is Atheism a religion? Atheists believe in only what they can prove to be true, what they can see, feel, touch.... A rose by any other name would smell as sweet right?

I was in prayer for my father who had a stroke. nine days he was in the hospital.in a coma. got phenomena. had a machine making his breath.erratic EEG. Doctor said there was no hope. I heard a voice in my head that said Go Rub His Feet. I did he opened his eyes. and out of the hospital in 3 days. and lived well for 11 more years. he talked more then he did before and had a small memory problem. This is the first and only time i actually heard a loud voice. but the spirit can be heard if you listen for that very quiet voice when you pray.theres many religions. One God, One Spirit of God and a soul in each of us.it is our choice to except the Spirit into us or not. and be guided by it. I learned how to pray from my parents.and they from there parents. I am blessed to have such spiritual people to show me how to pray and to love and have understanding and have true knowledge and how to ask for wisdom.I could write a book on how the Spirit has guided me and my people over the years.and the miracles I have witnessed.I hope you have a very Merry Christmas.

Forgive me, I'm not religious but I would rather be on that side if I have to pick a side. Actually, I'm a hellraiser and I am raising hell with you right now. My question to you is, why do you care if the Christians need to be comfortable? They must make you feel uncomfortable. They are doing their job then. Well done, Christians!

It may seem that way to you but for me it is about allowing God to do for me what I wasn't able to do for me. He is changing me and making me more than before. You can ask anyone who knows me and they will tell you He has worked a miricle in my life. It is crazy. Now the people who have always loved me like me too.
Do you really think that taking an honest look at your own life is comfortable? Well it is not.

No.

Forget religion.

Christ is the path of salvation.
Christ is the truth of God's Word.
Christ is the life eternal.

Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Christ is the tree of life.

Gen 3:22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:

God is available to know he is real and faith is not empty but is a gift from God and through this gift comes revelation. If you seek the truth you will find it. If you find comfort from knowing the truth why would that be bad? Comfort comes from knowing God and is available to those who seek the truth. Many seek the truth because they value it and through taht search they gain faith which is a gift from God and through there faith they receive revelation.

Religion does not explain anything. It is the core belief of existence, not the explanation of that existence. If you need explanation about why you exist I would say you are the one looking for comfort.
