any reputable lender can help build your score. Bank or credit union will do the job. Credit union may have lower rates to borrow. Are you building or re-building? That will also make a difference in the rate.

You are the one who holds the key to your score, though. You can get credit from nearly anywhere. The way to get your score in a good place, is to pay at least the minimum (preferably more) and pay it on time.

Its not where you get it from, its what you do with it.

Credit Unions, especially local ones are the best to build credit because they often have lower APR's than commercial banks. This wont specifically get you a higher credit score but it will allow you to build credit easier. Anytime you make on time payments for a credit based account it raises your credit, conversely late payments decrease it. Any institution can offer you credit but its the ones with the most attractive rates you want to go with.

Banks don't help you build credit, unless you get a loan or card from them.

If you want to build credit, get a credit card.

Any bank or lending agency is good to build your credit. As long as they are reputable and you pay back your debts.
