From a typical Christian standpoint, Wicca is bad because it teaches multiple deities who aren't God and one of the main tenants of Christianity is that there is only one God. Also, many Christians just get upset with people believing anything other than they do because they know that they're right and anything else is a slap in the face. Christians can't even get along with Jews when their savior was a Jew. Fundamentally Christians believe the same things as Jews and Muslims, just slightly modified yet can't get along with them and if you look at various sects of Christianity we can't get along with each other either. Anything that teaches other then traditional Christian value and morals is an abomination unto the faith and should be condemned. I'm so glad I don't buy into all that. Unfortunately this is the gist of it. I am Christian but I am definitely a tolerant one.

People get so bent out of shape because of the verse in Leviticus "Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live"

that vers is NOT talking about witches. The verse was talking about people poisoining the wells in the desert.

In the desert water is very precious; and water means the difference between life and death.

I wish Christians would actually read the translations of the original greek and hebrew before the Church priests perverted Christianity from the religion OF Jesus to the religion ABOUT Jesus and worshiping him as deity.

Jesus Gave two commandments to be saved to Phillip. and he did NOT add a third one that said worship me as Deity.

From a Biblical point of view, it's clear. Galations 5:19-21 condemns spiritism and warns us to keep free from everything connected with it. I was raised as a Southern Baptist, became wiccan as a young adult, and ended up disallusioned and angry by my mid-thirties. When I began to study with Jehovah's Witnesses and discovered who I was actually dealing with during my wiccan rituals, I realized just how dangerous it was for me to dabble in ANY way with spiritism, witchcraft, astrology, divination, etc... it's all directed by Satan and His angels.. and that was enough for ME to leave it alone! :)

I practiced wiccan for a few years. I was really enjoying the closeness with nature. I don't think it is bad, per se, but I do think that it takes focus away from God, who created all the powers of the universe. Its like wiccan is the private, but God is the general.

19The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. Galatians 5:19-22

that is all one must know

It is of the occult (secret or hidden things)...tapping into powers that we are forbidden to engage in.---this would be any "color" of witchcraft.
