You feel as many people do. Christendom's hellfire doctrine goes against God's sense of justice and love. Why is that? Because it is a false doctrine .What does the Bible teach about hell? It teaches us that all people both good and bad go there. It is mankinds common grave. Even Jesus himself was buried in hell and was there for three days until God resurrected his Son back to life. What Scriptures prove that hell is where the dead are buried? Here are but a few:
Psalm 139:8--"If I ascend into heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there."
Amos 9:2--"Though they dig into hell, From there My hand shall take them; Though they climb up to heaven, From there I will bring them down."
Jonah 2:2--"And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the LORD, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and thou heardest my voice."
Revelation 1:18--"I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death."
Psalms 146:3,4--"Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help. His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish." [ The dead cannot feel anything, neither pain nor pleasure for they have no thoughts ]
Ecclesiastes 3:19-20--"For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all is vanity. All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again." [ So what happens to both people and animals when they die? They all go to the same place.]
Revelation 20:13-14--"And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death." (Hell delivers up the dead, meaning a resurrection from the grave, and what happens to death & hell? They are thrown into the lake of fire, meaning total destruction.
Satan and his demons want people to think that God is cruel and sadistic, and the false docrtine of hellfire does just that. God is love and tortures no one. I hope this information helps.

Do you think that you are the first erudite to think up of such a shattering question?
Its not His children that burn in hell. It is the children of perdition that burn.
God gives His children good gifts (better than our parents can give).
God created that place for the Lucifer and all the other Angels that disobeyed. It wasnt created for humans in the first place. But because there are those who choose to not want to do God's will (like Lucifer), they chose themselves to go to hell.
I told a buddhist one time that in heaven, there will no longer be any weeping.
He said that he did not want t ogo to such a place where there are no emotions. He would rather go to hell.
I told him that he misunderstood what I said, but that it was his choice to go to hell (He obviously does not believe in hell).
So you make the choice, God just honors it.

when you have children of your own someday" let`s just say" you have some good children and some really bad children, like murdering people, you still love them" "but" hate what there doing"! you can`t treat them the same way you treat your good children"! ""you may be so disgusted with them that even though you love them"" you can`t allow what there doing any longer""! AND you turn them into the police" because you can`t allow them to kill any more ! WELL "GOD" is a eternal "GOD" he has our SOULS as his children and are souls are eturnal" so when he has really bad children" his jail" is eternal = hell"""!!!!!

The word "Gehenna" is mentioned in the Bible...and it refers to eternal destruction...sometimes the word "fiery" or "ruin" is used with it...here is where this comes from: The Valley of Hinnom (Gehenna) was outside the walls of Jerusalem. For a time it was the site of idolatrous worship, including child sacrifice. In the first century Gehenna was being used as the incinerator for the valley to be consumed in the fires, to which sulfur, or brimstone (also used in Bible) was added to assist the burning. Also bodies of burial in a memorial tomb, were thrown into Gehenna. Thus, at Matthew 5:29,30, Jesus spoke of the casting of one's "whole body" into Gehenna. If the body fell into the constantly buring fire it was consumed, but if it landed on a ledge of the deep ravine its putrefying flesh became infested with ever-present worms, or maggots (Mark 9:47,48). Living humans were not pitched into Gehenna; so it was not a place of conscious torment.
At Matthew 10:28, Jesus warned his hearers to "be in fear of him that can destroy both soul and body in Gehenna". What does it mean? Notice that there is no mention here of TORMENT in the fires of Gehenna; rather, he says to 'fear him that can DESTROY in Gehenna.' By referring to the "soul" seperately, Jesus here emphasizes that God can destroy all of a person's life prospects; thus there is no hope of resurrection for him. So, the references to the "fiery Gehenna" have the same meaning as the "lake of fire" of Revelation 21:8. Namely, destruction, "second death."
"The living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all." (Eccl. 9:5)
"The soul that is sinning - it itself will die" (Ezek. 18:4)
Notice that the dead is 'conscious of nothing' and also that the soul that is sinning will also die. There is no mention in the Bible of God sending anyone to a place called: hell. As you stated, it would contradict itself if God said he was a loving God, and then sent people to a place of eternal torment.

Don't forget GOD gave us choice. We can either live by God's word and reap the benefits, or follow Satan and live by his word and reap his benefits, which is Hell. The other point you seem to miss is God does not send us to hell. We make the choice , by our actions, to go. And God honors our choice.
It always amazes me how everything that is negative is always put on God. ie death, destruction, murder, etc. and no one ever blames to the one responsible, SATAN. WAKE UP.
