Two is a great age to give them a stocking! Little toys and candy, we like to put a small stuffed animal peaking out on the top.

Put useful things that she'll use anyway - like socks, knickers, a flannel with a picture on, maybe a new toothbrush... also a small toy, a little purse, a funny shaped balloon, some children's scissors and pencils and crayons.....whatever you think would be nice for her. She doesn't need to understand it, but she might remember the next year that she had a stocking last year. You could get her to hang it up and tell her Santa will fill it that night...

My two kids have had stockings since before they knew wht they were. Now, it's the first thing they go for on xmas morn. When they were age twoish "Santa" would stuff it w/ bath toys, bubbles, bubble bath, a special stuffy, maybe "big girl" panites, since she's two and will be training soon. It's never too early to start new traditions, so think of something special that you can put in year after year and when she gets older she'll look forward to that one little thing! My son absolutley loves Marachino Cherries, so "Santa" puts a little jar in his stocking and he thinks it's so cool (he's only 5)

I think it's a good idea. I mean, she might not remember it when she gets older, but she'll certainly enjoy it now. As for what you can put in - sweets, chocolate, a little doll, anything that makes noise or is colourful... I don't know. Only you know your daughter, so you can judge what she might like. But yeah - give it a go and see. And happy Christmas!

We put a few sweets in ours and 1 good present just so they would know 'he'd been.' It was fantastic and we have great memories and pictures, then they would rush downstairs for the main event.
