picky picky. I like a pear with cottage cheese. With that, a salad made of mushrooms, green peppers, tomatoes and artichokes.
Here are some other options of my favorite lunches -
for beverage - skim milk, a lot of water, diet dr pepper
Tomato soup with popcorn is a good choice.
Whole wheat bread peanut butter banana sammich.
A chicken wrap with low fat dressing.
tuna salad and on whole grain bread.
I know a local place where I can get roasted chicken, just pulled off the bones. I can't get enough of that. No sauce for me, but I'll have baked beans, but they usually have too much junk on them.
I have to watch my carbs - they're not evil, just too much for my system. I have to eat them at the right times, and in the right amount. Carbs should be in their most whole from - fresh fruit and vegetables, whole grain, and fresh dairy.

A meal that I threw together one night has turned out to be a fave of the family oddly enough...very, very easy.

Egg whites (the healthiest portion of the egg for weight management) placed into a pan with olive oil (about a 1/2 tsp) I use the Hot pepper Olive oil, fantastic! Add chopped onion, fresh ground pepper, cook til done.

Toast up two slices of either Texas toast (thick sliced) whole wheat bread, two slices sour dough bread or something like Flaxseed bread. No butter or margarine if you can help it, place the egg on the bread in sandwich form, cut in half or 4ths, add a great side salad which can be sprinkled again with olive oil, flax seeds or flax seed oil, fresh ground pepper and lemon juice for the dressing.

Quick, tastes pretty darned good and totally healthy for those losing weight or managing it.

Once you've worked out...first don't eat prior to doing so...drink only water throughout...when completed, wait 40 minutes before eating...your body is burning fat as its cooling down, once you eat the fat burning process slows or stops all together...at 40 minutes you've given your body the full time it needs to burn off calories and fat and the food then works as fuel rather than fat storage.

Good luck

anything with protein and complex carbs.. (fruits and veggies mainly) i personally like yogurt smoothies right before a work out and something high protein no carbs for 30 minutes after i'm done working out; it sustains the metabolic burn and bumps energy up!! :) good luck!
