After the hysterical sobbing and shrieking had stopped, I would immediately find a way to cash in on this most grievous of events. The best way I've come up with just since you've posted this question is - become a motivational speaker.
Think about it. People spend tons of money to see these hucksters speak, buy their books, their tapes and CDs, even their DVDs of the talks they've already seen. And what do these people have to say? Nothing, really. They are the snake oil salesmen of our century.
I would call my course "There IS life after chocolate!" and would tell stories about my family (they all do this, you know), tell them how much I loved chocolate and how I felt when I found there would be no more chocolate, ever. I would end my program/course with a peppy, nice, sugary-sweet way of saying "suck it up and deal with it, lusers" that would make everyone leave feeling good about themselves. I would hawk my books and manuals as they were on their way out, which would be more of the same garbage. As I speak more than one language, I would also be able to carry my message into Scandinavia and parts of Eastern Europe.
I predict multi-millionaire status for myself in this event within two years.
I'd still rather have the chocolate, though.

Well the whole world would collapse then I would take over as the dictato because I don't even like chocolate..lol
