I tried this question ealier - thought I might get a different group of responders if I sent it out again
just wanted to hear about anyones experiences with hearing an audible voice
I know God speaks to us through the Bible, circumstances, other people but have you ever heard a voice that you knew was from God
I'll give you my experience
I was getting ready for bed after reading the Bible and praying and all I heard was "I love you" - I was alone in my room with the door closed
got back down on my knees and prayed some more :-))

Once. Once I was young, lost, into satanic stuff..going DOWN. I had turned my back on God and was about as far from him as I could have been. One evening in my room, I heard a voice tell me"stop now or you will die" I knew at that instant that it was God. I knew exactly what was meant, etc. I broke into tears and fell on my knees, prayed to Him for the first time in YEARS and asked for forgiveness and changed my life from that day on. I know that even when we are fartherest from Him, He never turns his back on us. My life is sooo different now. I have no doubt that if I wouldn't have heard Him then, I would now be dead and in hell. Instead I am alive, a mom of 3, a wife, a part of a church family, a person with a purpose..which I had always had, just didn't know. Believe it or not, I know it happened and my current life is Proof....A person goes from "satanism" to falling on their knees and worshipping God in a matter of seconds...that's divine and a miracle...proof Of God if you ask me.
Although a very personal experience, I feel led to share...if just one person out there reads it and realizes that NO sin is too big to be forgiven..that no matter what you have done, God loves you and there is hope. If someone as far gone as I was can be changed in an instant, there is hope. If you could have seen me then, and see me now, you would believe in miracles.

god is imaginary, so no one has ever heard god's voice. That does not mean that people haven't "heard" voices that they think were god's. This is all centered in the brain, and there have been studies that show how this type of phenomena occurs. Check the link below, for a good discussion on how the brain creates spiritual people.

Yes, I have, although I can't repeat what was said, as it was very deep and personal. But, yes, God speaks in my ear.
