First I would suggest you just ask him to stop.
If that is not an option then why is your neighbor doing this?
If it is not an emergency detour for some reason then the nails ideas sound workable.
I would warn the man to stop or else you will put obstacles in the path he uses and hope he gets flat tires.
But really all you need to do is be blunt with the man and tell him to stop, period. There is no reason for him doing this and if he continues you will consider it to be an assault with a deadly weapon and the police may have to become involved
You have to push back with pushy jerks like this neighbor.

I know in Wa. state if the yard doesn't have a sidewalk/curb to keep vehicles off it then they home owner puts large, decorative boulders in the front yard to keep people from driving through the thing. If done right it can look pretty good and it will definitely keep the idiots out of your yard.

first ask him nicely, assuming you have not had problems w/ him before, and then if he keeps doing it, then call the police. if you have had a long history or any history of problems with him, then i would call the police without talking to your neighbor---that is trespassing, damaging your property and also possible harassment if he/she keeps doing it. you might need to get a restraining order and also definately call the police---i have an as$hole neighbor next door and he has cameras pointing at our house and all he does is harass us, trash our yard, tresspass, and break our things---by the time the police get there, he is gone and the useless police in our area say that since they did not see it, they cannot do anything--even if we did see him do it.

Well if a police report on them isn't helping put some 2x4's in the yard with nails up out of them so that when they drive thru their tires will blow out. Just a thought. OR you could drive thru their front yard, but I bet that wouldn't really help. Good Luck.

Politely ask him to stop, then if he does it again stop by the police station and find out what kind of legal action can be taken.
The evil way would be to imbed some nails upside down in the lawn where he drives. I think he will get the message pretty quick then.

Put BBs in his tire stem cap that way the air goes out no permanent damage to the tire and he cant drive for a few hours. That or go out and buy a heavy bird bath and put it right were he drives.

first, i would start driving across his yard, second i would call over my friends and have them start driving all over that yard, and finally, i would send my dog over to his yard whenever he had to take care of his business. if he still drives across your yard, then maybe you should just start parking your car in his driveway every night. if still this person continues to drive on your yard, then maybe you should think about the installation of some strategically placed land-mines.

Drive spikes at angles through a two by four so that no matter which way it's laying spike point up.
Leave it in your yard where his tire tracks appear.
Problem solved.

Set up a webcam or video camera and catch him in the act. Then call the police and get them to look at the tire imprints and photograph them yourself. Then get your revenge the old fashioned american way: press criminal charges, and sue for damages in civil court.

A board with nails in it will only get you charged with vandalism, as will messing with their vehicle. Simply call in a police report explain what happened and take pictures or capture on video them doing it to support your case.
