Why is it that 99% of the species that have ever existed on Earth are now extinct?

Is your God just incompetent?

free_your_fancy: You don't understand logic. For one, begging the question and circular logic are the same thing. They refer to a logic construct in which the conclusion and the assumptions are codependent. This is not the case in this question.

For two, why would I need to prove the side that I'm mocking before I can mock it? I don't need to prove God or Intelligent Design to poke holes in their logic (which is what I'm doing, which you seem to not understand).

And if an intelligent designer only succeeded with 1% (when 60% is failing at almost every university), that means that the designer must not be very intelligent.

Anyways, you obviously didn't understand the point of the question. Please think a little bit more before you post.

The average life span of humans throughout history has been a little over 30 years. If we are God's divine creation and all other animals were placed here for us; it makes one wonder if maybe God has an even more special place in his heart for Tortoises and Macaws.

Possibly, but I don't believe God exists (at least not as Christians describe the concept). On the other hand, humans tend to be very incompetent. It is primarily human action that has wiped out a lot of species to near extinction, but that's another discussion.

Dude -- please try to avoid logical fallacies. It really makes the anti-intelligent design community look just as bad as those who argue in favor of it.

Re: your rather nasty email -- you're committing at LEAST three logical fallacies --

begging the question
faulty cause and effect
and circular logic

Look them up. You might learn something.

For your assertion to make any sense, you have to prove that intelligent design means that nothing would ever go extinct. How can you possibly do that without proving that god exists and proving that intelligent design has any merit in the first place? You can't. Fault logic. All the way around.

Earth intelligently DESIGNED? -no, this is not the final public of adult males of technology believe that interior the start the universe all started in an explosion, extremely the "vast Bang." -certain. maximum help that hypothesis over others they say that this is with techniques from twist of destiny that there is existence on earth. -certain, you somewhat a lot were given the conception. this is with techniques from twist of destiny that there is water on earth so animals and flora can drink and survive. -Um, no, this is the made from hydrogen oxidation, hence a organic procedure, not "chance". The water is the reason animals and flora exist, if there replaced into no water, different existence ought to exist that did not drink water. this is with techniques from twist of destiny that many of the gases are not colored so the solar is actual not veiled. -somewhat, i imagine you'll discover out that gasses are in truth colored, they're only not dense adequate to ensure in gaseous style. Ever considered liquid oxygen? this is blue. the colour of an element is somewhat a lot determined with techniques from its electron configuration, there is precise guidelines, not chance, at artwork. this is with techniques from twist of destiny that there is rain so this is going to bathe the flora. -No, this is somewhat a lot common physics. Water vapor is gentle adequate to upward thrust interior the air, and top environment is chilly adequate to condence the water to liquid, and gravity guarantees the drops will fall. So, back, a procedure, not chance this is with techniques from twist of destiny that the earth is interior the right area, not too a techniques or too close to from or to the solar. -somewhat precise, this is somewhat a lot as a lot as chance, yet although, that is a quite wide section that human beings ought to discover livable... i imagine lets bypass some million miles closer or futher somewhat. or maybe a much broader variety for any existence to exist. The planet isn't right here for you, you're right here because the planet got here about to be right here. Do you think that God intelligently designed the Earth? -No, by no skill If us human beings designed vehicles, who designed us? -that is a defective analogue, others have already observed that the well-loved vehicle did not only look all suited, this is the hot style of a previous invention (wheel). -human beings are component to a lengthy organic procedure, not artifacts. in case you breed a dogs, does it advise that someone bred your mom and father? The analogue doesn't artwork like that. Make experience?

Perhaps the better question would be for you to stop preceiving a "God" through the perception of the disenfranchised Christians who cut off their spiritual element way back in the 4th century. Perhaps this universe runs on laws of it's own, laws that were invoked by the force of God and everything runs it's course and adjust to the conditions in which they are refined. And maybe they weren't necessary any more from a higher prospective of mind.

Religious folks will say that "its all part of a grand design" this is a simple and convenient scapegoat to distance themselves from any practical accountability - to obvious flaws in religion.

Atheists such as my self will say, this is proof there there is no 'grand design'

Yeah, that doesn't seem very consistent with the idea of an "intelligent" design.

God is intellegent however many of his creation are not. Consider God's plan was it that animals were created in his image? Dinosaurs will inherit the kingdom of God? Or were they here for our purposes as the Bible teachs If you are going to question God perhaps you should study first. Gen. 1: 26-31 26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.
31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

God didn't say they needed to be here forever to be his creations. He made them for that time for whatever reason they were here. Some of them to keep certain plants in a better state, some to keep certain poplulation in check all of them for different reasons, but then no longer needed or there was a better way for them to be taken care of. They were here for their time and then that was all they were needed for.

Maybe Noah just forgot to pick them all up. It might just be "God's People" that are incompetent.
