make eye contact when ever possible and smile at them when your eyes meet.If anything else this will get the thought across to them that you have interest.If they smile back.You know your on the right track.
But dont keep waiting for them to talk to you after this.If they look at you and smile,you should feel confident enough by this to talk to them.Even a simple "hi,How are you?" can get a conversation started. Just relax and be yourself.

Be yourself start making small comments and ask simple questions. Make conversation between the two of you normal until he starts looking for you just to talk without even knowing it. Once you establish that it's easier to ask what he's having for lunch into going out to lunch.

just start out by a casual "hello". then each time you see them a little more small talk. this should get their attention and lead to a more advanced conversation.

Compliment something about him...hair, clothes, shoes. Then ask him what he's doing over the weekend, something that is innocent enough. Then once you all get a little friendly, tell him you should talk on the phone or something.

By being friendly and outgoing and smiling alot. Act interested in what they are doing or what there hobbies and interests are. It's really not that hard dear.
