I am trying to find out how I can trace the whereabouts of my half brother and sister, who were adopted. Are there any organisations I can contact? And does their adoption cause a problem tracing them? Please help, I would really love to find them.

I would start with the adoption registry http://adoptionregistry.net/

They could be looking for you also.

it depends on how old you are and how old they are

an agency called 'after adoption' can help you find them, they do charge for this but they are the cheapest agency that i have found and only take money for each step of the trace as it goes on, they are really helpful and friendly to talk to.

Try www.genesreunited.com - maybe they are trying to trace you. Even if you're not genetically related to them they may still be on there. Also you could try friends reunited - who knows they could be on there.

Adoption.com is the easiest Site I have found. Hundreds of thousands of people have registered there.
Do you know what state they were born in or their birth dates? I have copies of birth indexes for many states in the USA.

Good luck!
