Yes, and yes - my longest 'secret desire' was 7 years, can you believe it... eventually he asked me out so I was finally able to 'come clean', so to speak. The relief was unbelievable. Sadly it didn't work out with us (mainly because he was an ***). I have since had two more secret desires. The first one - I never told him, he's my best friend however so I 'love' him in a different way now. And I'm currently in the throes of a 'secret passion' for someone at the moment, and I haven't quite decided what to do yet. Generally it's not a good place to be. You have my sympathy.

Yeah I am an open book when it comes to me having feelings for someone. Usually I can hold back from telling them or showing them for a couple months at the most but I never hold anything back for to long.

Its funny you should ask this because i have just told the guy i like how i feel about him. He is thinking about it which sounds a little worrying but at least i did it and got the weight of my mind.
I have known him for a while and we flirt all the time so on Thursday when i saw him i just asked him out, its amazing how much better you feel afterwards.
Ask them out, you will only regret it if you don't and even if they say no then at least you will have tried instead of spending the rest of your life wondering "what if".

well, it was me and my best friend, and we didnt know that both of us liked each other til our friends found out and realized a connection...i was completely clueless on this matter and he told me during lunch at school...it was totally surprising and totally caught me off guard...we have had talks about how and why he decided to tell me and he said that life is too short to let love go unnoticed (i told him that earlier before but the way he said it sounded soooo much better). if u have a few months left to go, i think you need to create ur own time if you cannot find the perfect moment...(cant find the moment, create the momnet.....by me)..get him on his own and u need to see if he feels the same way, if he does he might realize his undying passion of love for you and might decide to stay of he is leaving in a couple months anyway....hope this helps

I had a 'secret desire' for almost a year. Eventually I wrote them a 'love letter' - so far so good...

I did for ages... never told him... recently got over him by reassuring myself that he definitely did not care about me.
Oh yeh, and finding someone much better and who likes me back was a big help... why a few months moving from or leaving somewhere? I would tell him if you think he likes you back.

oh yes, still do. we're like ships passing in the nght for months on end, then he can be in my face 8hrs a day for the next month. When we're together we bounce off eachother. Its hard.
You only live once babe! x

Yes, I had intuition that he liked me too (and I was right) I had the confidence and I just told him I thought he was hot. We had a long relationship after that.

Yes and no i never told them, although i'm partly glad now, cos it would have been a bad move!
