Just a drink. Because of the constricting of blood vessels by the caffeine, it can ease a headache some times. Also gives you a little "boost". Some of my ancestors cousins called it 'Agupe Sapa', which is black medicine.

Coffee is the elexir of the tribe of the modern office worker.
Coffee keeps us productive through sleep deprivation and amazingly repetitive, boring tasks. It becomes the answer in an an otherwise listless existence. But although coffee is addictive and becomes necessary to keep us awake and productive through the day, it's kind of drab. So drinking large quantities of coffee, flavour and scents become necessary after a while, just to keep the experience alive. Of course, coffee is also highly addictive - I now consider it the fifth food group.
After a while, coffee becomes a social event. Like most druggies, coffee-drinkers tend to experience their addiction in groups, shielded from an outside world that does not understand.

how on earth is coffee tribal, when was the last time you saw a remote amazonian tribe having a cup of coffee in the middle of the rain forest

lol, i have a friend that would concider it an experience. it gives you energy. really good coffee like goumet coffee can be an experience as far as tasting it, i wouldn't class coffee as a drug though even though it has caffeine in it.

oh it is a neccesary experience for me. the smell alone comforts me when i wake up. i have to have it every day - no exceptions!
