Types of green tea are being indicated now for weight loss, it is not limited to a specific type. Oolong is however delicious.

It is Pu-Er tea that is claimed by some to help one lose weight. The taste is a required taste, not at all bad - especially the quality stuff! It originates in China, but a lot of the Pu-Er on the market is the low-grade floor sweepings, stems, etc. Not that clean, and very few leaves. Leaves are what you want to drink when it comes to most teas.
So a good quality Pu-Er may cost more, be we all know the saying "You get what pay for." You will also see Pu-Er tea mixed with Chrysanthemum flowers. It's even lighter in taste. You should sample both, and see which flavour appeals to you.
As for the Oolong tea, there are a few kinds. Good quality Oolong will also cost you money, but you're worth it, right?
One of the champion Oolong teas is called "Dong Ding", and is grown in Taiwan. This green tea has a very nice taste, and contains some Vitamin C. It's definitely worth trying!
I hope you find some quality Pu-Er (and/or Oolong) tea today and enjoy it. Use feshly spring or filtered water for the best results.

It is said that drinking three cups of green tea a day can help you burn an extra 100 calories each day. But i've not heard anything about oo-long or pu-er tea.

Wanna lose weight then Join slimming world!!
I've lost 3stone 1 1/2lbs since January of 2006 and i was pregnant!!!! I gave birth in August and still go to group!
YOu don't have to give up foods you love! there are no points or calories to count!
Also you can eat tons and i do mean tons!!
For example a green day for me, is:
Breakfast - 2 x weektabix a bananna and milk
snap either a slimming world ceral bar or a riveta bar, or packet of snack a jacks (something along those lines) i then eat about 3 -4 satsumas, and a couple of bits of fruit or veg.
Lunch, either a huge jacket potato with baked beans and 28g cheese or some cous cous (ainsley hariot stuff).
I will then snack all afternoon on fruit or veg or rice pasta or cous cous. Tea time i will have spag bol, (made myself) with a small amount (because you count your meat on a green day) of lean mince with homemade sauce and unlitimted amounts of pasta or spag.
I will then have a couple of muller yougarts, and some more fruit. or a frozen yog. Then i will have a mini mars bar or some other choccy!
I could go on here for ages!! Basically for an orginal day which is the other choice, you eat unlimited amounts of meat, but you weigh out your carbs.
So for green day, unlimited healthy carbs, and weigh the meat!
Honestly i've never eaten so much food in my life!
But its true to lose weigh and to get your metabolic rate to increase which speeds up the weight loss you really need to eat often. when you starve your body thinks its not going to fed again and hangs on to the fat.
YOU would get fantastic results more so by doing exersise too, but i've got plastic knees and hips so it wasn't easy for me.
I have set an online forum for all whom are intrested, or already attend slimming world. i only set it up this week, so its very new! But we are lovely lot at our group and i would urge any one to do this! I've attached my forum add and the slimming world website!
Good luck.
Rember only YOU can be what YOU want to be!

Any natural type of green tea is supposed to be slimming PS if you want to loose weight eat an apple before you eat a meal. That's supposed to improve your metabolism or something like that.
