I'm going to Malaysia where there are LOTS of mosquitoes, and I really need to bring a can of Deep Woods OFF! with me. The strongest OFF! (with the most DEET) you can get only comes in aerosol, so I would prefer that to the pump sprays. I just want to know if it's going to explode all over my clothes on the plane. Thanks!

Aircraft baggage compartments are pressurized, so an aerosol can will not explode even when the plane is at cruising altitude. (see first link below about pressurized cabins)

If you're traveling from the US, TSA rules say you can't have more than 3 ounces in your carry-on baggage, so a small can is OK; larger cans need to go in your checked baggage. (see second link about TSA rules)

a pump or aerosol won't explode in the cabin with you...it's pressurized, after all..thats why YOU dont explode!

There is ZERO NADA NO WAY DONT TRY that you can bring it past Security and into the cabin.

Check Homeland Security's site.....

If you put a spray can in your checked bags it will be taken out by Security or explode because baggage holds AREN'T pressurized. A pump bottle, which is at atmospheric pressure, if wrapped in a Zip lock, wont leak on your clothes and may get past Security.
