I've been through this before, i know how you feel. It took me over a year to get over it . And i still didn't completely get over it by myself. I got over it after i met my husband. He treated me better than anybody else had ever done before. He took really good care of me. he gave me love, security, trust, stability, and alot of other good things that i had never had before.

You cannot heal a broken heart. It has to heal itself, and that takes time. I don't think you should try to hide it because that's like denial, and you have to accept the fact that you have been hurt, it's part of the healing process.

The thing that help me get over my broken heart was the fact that there was some one out there who did me better, and who loved me. I thought about it like this, it's just a process that prepares you for your true love, you grow and mature through that experience. There is some one out there for you who will treat you like a queen. And when he comes you will be ready for him, and you will appreciate him.

In the mean-time, do things that make you feel happy, socialize, cook, read, draw, write, anything that will take your mind off of your heart. This could take a while, or no time at all.

Before starting a new relationship you have to deal with all the issues that came up in the old one otherwise you will drag that right into your new one.

I just got out of a 4 year relationship which resulted in alot of emotional breakdowns..not to mention 2 kids :)

but what I do is pray about it.. and ask GOD to heal my broken heart, HE created it right? so HE can heal it too!

Stay active. Get some physical exercise. Train for a marathon or other formal activity. Keep busy with friends. Write in a journal. If you are really down, seek counseling.

Don't contact the other person, no matter what. Do the opposite of what you want to do. If you want to call the person, don't. If you don't feel like eating, eat. If you don't feel like getting out of bed, get out of bed. It's time to nurture yourself. Move forward. Heartbreak is one of the biggest losses we experience. It requires that you be kind to yourself for healing.

You poor thing....but as much as you may not want to hear it...but from my experience is just time and surrounding yourself with people that are special to you. You don't want to rush through the healing process because you may not truly heal your heart and then contaminate your next relationship. Hope that helps some!

Time heals all wounds ! Take the time to mourn your last relationship and move on . Make yourself busy . Cry until all your tears are gone !
