That white around the gums is your body's immune response to having the tooth extracted. Your body sends lots of white blood cells to an area of inflammation, particularly where the bloodstream is accessed by bacteria. The collection of millions of these white blood cells can make the area around a dental extraction appear white. Don't rinse too vigorously with anything. Put a teaspoon of salt in a glass of warm (not hot) water, and shake your head side to side. Don't move your cheeks as you normally would. Then, do NOT spit. Let the water fall from your mouth. If you rinse and spit too vigorously, you could dislodge the blood clot forming under your gums and cause a dry socket. I hope this helps.

I had 7 pulled 1 week ago, really no fun at all. I think the white is just where the tissue is dead.My detist told me as long as I didnt get a high temp or my gums didnt feel hot that it wasnt infection.Mine are just starting to feel tolerable today, still very sore though.Hope this helps.

The whiteness is the the keratinised tissue sloughing off and is of no concern. You are probably unable to brush in this area well, so the tissue is not being rubbed off as usual.
It is not white blood cells.
