so called hillbillies and rednecks are just people that embrace the simple life and tend to live off the land. there is really no difference between them. todays society is one of the reasons they stay put so tightly. todays society is so ignorant and uneducated to other cultures and so hypocritical, it is no wonder they don't leave their areas they call home. most of the comments on here are very rude and uneducated, just like the description of the rednecks they talk about. must mean most these people commenting are rednecks and don't even know it.

A redneck is a poor person living in the southern united states.
A hilbilly is an unsophisticated person who dwells in remote, rural, mountainous areas. In particular the term refers to residents of the Ozarks and Appalachia in the United States.
Rednecks for example live in Alabama, Georgia, etc. Hillbillies live in Arkansas, Kentucky, Tennesse etc.
