I have TERRIBLE allergies. My doctor started me on a treatment called Immuno Suppressive... (i can't remember the rest). Essentially, I get shots. At first it was twice a week, then once every other week, then once monthly. I haven't sneezed in months. The doc told me that if i go for the monthly shots for a couple years, the treatment will be over and I'll never need allergy medicine again. It's definately worth it to me!

me too! I take allergy shots every week, and use medication for allergies and asthma every day. if I accidentally eat any kind of sea food, some kinds of fish, or worst case, get stung by any stinging insect I go into anaphylactic shock and have to give myself a shot to help me stay alive until someone can get me to an emergency room. the shots are metered doses of epinephrine, called Epi-Pens. one time in particular was extremely bad, was almost dead by the time the paramedics got to me. I try my best not to let it get me down though! God is in control, and I know that He's taking care of me!

I do and that is why I take Claritin 24 hours and Nasonex; both had to be prescribed to me by my allergist.
