Okay, lets try this again....?
Is it true there can be no such thing as an Atheist?

"Bear in mind that one of the greatest scientists who ever lived, Thomas Edison, said, "We do not know a millionth of one percent about anything." Let me repeat: Let's say that you have an incredible one percent of all the knowledge in the universe. Would it be possible, in the ninety-nine percent of the knowledge that you haven't yet come across, that there might be ample evidence to prove the existence of God?"

By saying you KNOW there is no God, considiring you may not KNOW all there is, is that a contridiction in itself? Also, would it swing the same way for Christians?

Is it not better for BOTH sides to state it as a BELIEF, not a FACT?

You put too much stock in certainty.

I know there is no god just as I know there are no lime-green flying elephants.

By your reasoning, there is no such thing as a fact. That's just silly.

I think that even though Atheists claim and profess to know that God isn't real as a fact>>> it's really a personal opinion. Due to the multitude of pleasant/unpleasant being in this world... there is bound to me a few that are so quick to be wrong but it's not because they want it that way.... something in their lives had to had happened to convince them of what they believe is... there is no God. It's our human nature to have acceptance in our lives and that's why like-minded people stick together just like Christians and non-Christians. There will never be solid evidence to prove... there is no God simply b/c there is!!!

Another interesting & sincere question, they are rare here. But it seems to me, atheists & christians are VERY stubborn about this topic. I KNOW there is a God ( He's answered my prayers many times ) but an atheist would claim they KNOW there isn't one because their prayers haven't been answered and they want proof.
Faith by definition is "confident belief in the truth, value or trustworthiness of a person, idea or thing." My faith is whole, and atheists claim they don't believe in God. I think more atheists are agnostics than they realize. Atheists want proof, they want to believe in mankind & or nature. Christians believe in God FIRST AND FOREMOST OF ALL THINGS (I should say true christians) and don't need proof, He's as real as the hearts pumping in our chests or the sun that provides the source of life. Quite a few of the people in my life that I care about are atheists, and that's all right. Agreeing to disagree is a great accomplishment of mankind. But I believe it doesn't matter, God believes in u.:o]

ps, I get a kick and smile to myself whenever an atheist says "Jesus Christ" or "Oh my God!" in excitement, their conscious minds reject Him. But their subconscious knows.:o[]
It's not just a word or phrase, it's the source of all things~ whether people accept it or not. God bless us all.

From what I've observed here, many atheists have problems with the words belief and faith. To them, everything that they believe in is fact even though most of it is just as nebulous as what we have faith in. It comes across as rather arrogent. And they call us closed minded.

I've often suggested that they have just as much faith as the rest of us. That has always earned me angry responses.

I'm sure they're not all that way, but the many that I've interacted with seem to feel this way.

I never said I know 100% that there is no god. I simply BELIEVE whole-heartedly there is no god...at all...period.

Know one knows EVERYTHING, and if anyone ever says they know, they are completely full of $***.

Anytime I said, god doesn't exist, I am simply stating what I "believe" or think.
