I would go to a professional to fix it before you wreck your hair. Unless you know how to do just your roots and that takes a lot. Need foil and the right kind of color.

ive done this many many times get drk red or arburn do the roots first like 15 20 min (or half the time the box says) then apply to rest of hair the roots will always look a little brigter or lighter then the ends but most time it looks cute cuz the sun hits your head there

No I don't think so. You will problaby have to use a toner first then use the color that you want. Visit sally's beauty supply they will help you find the right toner along with the right color that you are trying to achieve.

Depends what is your natural color and what color did you try. If you have dark hair and want to lighten it please go to a salon. I would go to a beauty supply place and ask them brfor you make it brighter. Chalk it upto tried it hated it! HA HA
