No! To believe this statement is to reject truth and the power of truth to remove sin from thought. Sin must form first in the human mind before it can be expressed in action or word. To render sin as a power over one is to break the first commandment.
We are image and likeness, not slaves. The slavery stuff is the lie to be overcome.

I was till the Spirit of God came into me. which guides me. and changed me into something different then what I was.I am now in the world but not truly of this world. and I thank God for that as it makes me a much better vehicle for the Spirit to work thru.I have to admit that I occasionally miss the old times and days. but I am very satisfied with the way I am now. I know my life and soul is eternal and not truly connected to this world. and I will travel to heaven when I pass on.and hopefully I will have many spiritual things to do and learn in heaven.

Yep. All sin can be refined down to three things; the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life. The lost are slaves to these things. Pray for them to be set free in Christ.

That is exactly what Buddhism states and we must remain in that state until we break the chains of materialist desire and seek the path of spiritual awakening.

NO we are not SLAVES to anything. You can be a servant of SATAN or a servant of GOD!
If you choose satan you are a slave to sin because Christ Blood has not freed you from it
If you choose God You are free from sin as an obedient child of his, Christ blood continually cleanses you.
Who will your MASTER BE?????????
I choose to serve the Lord God Almighty.

Not 100% true, we are animalistic but we have the capacity to choose and grow, we know what is right and wrong,
this innate knowledge allows us to realize what no other animal can on this planet,
knowledge is power. we have the capacity to THINK.

One could become enslaved to sin if it were not for Gods grace. This gives us the option to get out of that boundage. Jesus came to set us free from that not keep us captive. God Bless.
