i have been checking his recent calls and recent dialed on his cell phone and saw a number i have never seen before. when i asked him about it he acted all defensive and said it was someone he worked with. i have even heard a girls voice in the background a few times when i called him when he was supposed to be at work. is he cheating on me or am i worrying too much?

If he got defensive then he probably feels like he has something to hide. I would be pretty sure that he is cheating or at least thinking about it. Sounds like time to find a new guy. You could try texting this number (if its a cell phone) and see what kind of reply you get (if you can get access to his phone) that would tell you for sure. Its too bad us girls have to do this kind of snooping and guys can't just be faithful!! Good luck.

Simply a phone call or an unknown number is not pointing to cheating. Thats also not to say that he isn't. But I do think you are being a little insecure. There would be other signs, such as coming home late, a lot of out of town business, suspicious whereabouts. Don't get yourself all worked up over phone calls. And he may have been defensive because you are asking a question making him feel as though you need to know everyone he talks to, guys hate that.

Well it doesn't really matter now because you already checked his phone and are accusing him. The trust is tarnished and there is no way to fix that. He will always deny and you will always wonder until one of you ends it. Plus ...women's intuition. Something made you think you should check the phone or suspect that he was cheating. This feeling is rarely wrong, so he probably is. Be careful! Don't let yourself get more hurt and use protection!

Without a doubt. Try one of the reverse number webopages to see if the person has a published number if so there name and number will show. The question is what level of cheating are you talking about.

You never know for sure until you see it. But just for reading that, I dont think he is, hearing a girls voice in the back doesnt mean nothing, he doesnt work w girls or what? plus check the cell eveeyday to see how often he is calling this #

it seems to me that he might be cheating...i know as a girlfriend i always jump to conclusions, but sometimes the conclusions are right...dont confront him anymore if he gets defensive. try looking into it more, maybe suggest going to lunch with him on his lunch break. or even better, surprise him to take him out to lunch, and make sure its a surprise so that he doesnt have time to hide anything. but remember, he probably works in a co-ed environment so women will be in his workplace. hearing a woman's voice in the background doesnt necessarily mean hes cheating, but its worth investigating. best of luck to ya

Oh no, if he's getting all defensive about it then yes he's cheating on you. If it was just some-one from work he wouldn't get all worked up about it and keep it from you. Kick that jerk to the curb,he's not right for you anyway if he's gonna cheat.

You have serious trust issues. Why do you check his cellphone anyways. A solid relationship is built on trust. Doesn't seem like you have it. Stop worrying so much.

Could be some girl at the office you need to be worried about.
I'd go there and pay him a "surprise" visit to see who is hanging around ( or all over) him.
Then make sure everyone there knows he is taken
