If the service and food is exceptional - 20% ($70). If everything is good and very acceptable 15% (round it to $55). Scale it down from there depending on how happy or unhappy you are.

You don't tip the caterer you tip the servers. The caterer has entered a business deal with you to provide food. End of negotiation, no tip required.
tips should be around 50 bucks in total if good service split among the waitstaff. (I imagine for $350 there wasn't that much food.

Chances are the caterer has already figured the tip in, around 20%. If you feel they were exceptional, you could slip them another $20. But no caterer I know would do a job without calculating in the gratuity.

Usually a tip is around 15%. I take into consideration how well the service was done and tip better for excellent service. I have sometimes paid the company what was agreed to and given tips to the individuals on the staff.
