Do looks matter ? I am not talking like butt ugly. I mean do guys only approach girls they think are hot or do her interests and personality matter too?

You know... people tend to sway to what is beautiful... so there's no doubt that if a guy had a choice between.. a pretty girl.. and a not so pretty girl... the chances are very high.. that the guy would choose a pretty girl...
but.. in some cases... looks do not really matter to guys... and one reason.. is because... not many people are pretty... or handsome.. or beautiful.. or gorgeous... sooo... they have no choice but to stay in their league.. lol.. it's that simple... you cannot aim higher than what you are... unless... you know you have a chance... but that is a different story.. i'm not going to get to that...
now... other guys... i mean.. the guys that are uncommon nowadays... guys like me... (not trying to brag)... we tend to get to know girls.. before we do anything... and out of what we know about a girl... we will make a choice whether we want to be with that girl or not... and yes... that also includes looks... for example.. a guy might be like...
"Damnit.. this girl is soo pretty, but I love this other girl's personality... ugh!! it's so hard!!"
that can happen... lol.. and it is quite funny when it happens...
but that doesn't necessarily mean that all guys will tend to go for what is pretty... because in this world... there are many things... including guys who do not go for looks...
now take into consideration this...
what about guys that are blind??
lol.. ofcourse they are going to go for the personality... why?.. because they cannot see...
the main idea... is that.. most guys will tend to go for the looks.. simply because it is attrating.. and it is something that catches our eyes... now.. when it comes to personalities.. guys would want a girl that is adventuress.. and fun to be around with...
don't get me wrong.. there are beautiful girls that are adventuress... but those are hard to find.. and if you do find them.. they are most likely to be taken... so do not get your hopes up.. hahahaha...
it's all human nature... it is all based on the question.. whose genes do you want your genes to be mixed with...
lol... that has always been the question...
but that gets us into the whole.. nature argument.. and blah blah blah.. so i will leave it at that... take care...

Men are very visual. No apologies. Of course looks matter, but the whole package is the real ticket. Interests, personality, sophistication, and the like are important. Unfortunately some guys can't put two words together to make a sentence and the result is they are looking only at the pictures in PLAYBOY into their 20's, 30's. 40's, 50's etc.
Looks matter to me in that I want to look good. Some women look awful until they smile and then they are magnificent! We are all dealt what we are dealt. What we do with it naturally, tells others a great deal about who you are, how you think, and what you believe. That is important to me.

I am a woman however I will be interesting in reading the responses to this, I think that men do only approach women they find attractive to the eyes. However alot of time they actually meet their partner thru conversations and that type of thing and find beauty in them after getting to know them

yes, they do. its harsh, but yes. guys usually approach girls that they find attractive. would you approach a butt-ugly guy? but get to know him for like a week and it won't matter so much. but i find the best strategy is to make a first impression.

Looks may open the door, but they aren't a-gonna keep the interest if the 'beauty' is a dweeb. I have learned that average looks better on the inside than beauty could ever be on the outside. You may think I wrote that wrong, but I didn't.

Both play a role in this. How ever I’ve said no to 3 beautiful women in my life because I sensed immaturity. Personally I’d rather date someone mildly attractive if she was charming, well rounded, developed person inside.

Basicly both most boys just want some pu**y and some girls know that but they still go with these boys.Most boys don't even look to be in a long term relationship.

i think guys approach pretty girls.. but she has to hav sum personality for it to go further.. and i think guys can fall for a not so pretty girl...they might not approach her but just fall in love with her.

talk to lots of girls. To be very pretty is nice but some girls are just plain fun to be around. Pretty does not much good if you are no fun to be around.
