Honestly, fundamentalist Christians tend to be the ones that have the most issues with atheists. It seems that way, anyway.

Religions dont speak therefore t hey dont answer questions.
Unless you equate a person with the entire religion then thats a different case.
and if you do you seriously need to reconsider as religion has many facets and just like culture it has many different expressions.
As for which people might be afraid of answerign Atheist questions..I rather think its the ones who have learned their faith through rote memorization and not really through a mental/logical process that yields in faith in a higher being.
Because obviously, an atheist has put in more logical brain juice into his non-faith then a believer who has learned through memorization.
And the conversation will almost always end up with the religious memorizer/blind supporter failing to give logical premises on his faith.

Atheists are afraid to answer Atheists' questions. Their religion is one of "science", a set of principals most people cannot understand, one that has a foreign language (Latin), and one that requires a LOT more faith than believing in God requires. If Christians had as much faith in God as Atheists have in their religion "Science", then we could remove world poverty, heal the sick, and hasten the Kingdom of God.

From the responses in this forum, evangelical and fundamentalist Christians aren't afraid to answer questions from atheists at all. Of course they don't bother to understand or actually address them, but hey when you're certain you have a monopoly on the truth, why bother with other points of view?

No one is afraid to answer an atheist's question.
I find it amazing what they say not in a good or bad way but in a way that is sorrowful.
They still cannot answer the questions on morality in a universal way.
It appears to me they think every man has a right to dictate what is good, evil or moral sort of like Stalin did. JMO...

The problem is that most atheists frame their questions with internal contradictions so as to not have an answer...then THEY refuse to accept that the question asked is fatally flawed and must be rephrased.

Christianity.
Always using that circular reasoning.
I've never had a problem talking to someone from the Islamic community. Never had an opportunity with others. Oh, and Wiccan/Pagan are VERY nice and answer all questions intelligently.

I don't know, most people tend to supress their fears or deny them, plus I don't think the proper study has ever been done to determine which one that would be.
Which questions are you referring to? Like why are ... brainwashed, or stupid. Or honest questions, like how do you explain.... or what does this quote mean...
