I find your first question interesting. Your second question is unfortunately veiled in Christian myth so I will not address it.
"Who is the god of this age?"
Given that in ancient Greek mythology, Zeus is the ultimate ruler of the Olympian gods, one could say that this is still the case. Except when you look at what is the predominant characteristic of our current age.
Zeus is cast as a fearless father figure and the mysterious power that moves the universe. He is also the moral solution of all-world problems. But our current times are ruled by communications. It is the "Communication Age" where most no longer look to a father figure for answers. Instead, the vast majority are more likely to hit the internet and research what they need. With this in mind...
Who, from the ancient Greek Pantheon is more likely to fill the communications role? Hermes. Brother to Apollo. Renamed "Mercury" by the Romans, Hermes is the ruler of travel, business and communications. Would not Hermes, under these circumstances, be the God of this Age?

you'll locate that in scriptures alongside with those there's a history tale, yet sure as Tiny has reported devil is the god of this age. God has given all and dissimilar achievable to believe in him all of us have our own judgements to make, yet there comes a level at the same time as adequate is adequate. Romans a million:20 " For because the creation of the international God’s invisible features—his eternal ability and divine nature—were obviously considered, being understood from what has been made, so as that human beings are with out excuse." you spot in my own opinion once you go searching it truly is clear that there's a author. imagine about how complicated our bodies are and how if something contained in the Universe replaced into to be altered Earth ought to no longer keep up existence. If the solar replaced right into a level hotter the Earth will be to warm to proceed to exist and if it replaced right into a level decrease existence nevertheless does no longer be sustainable. there's a lot extra evidence that's roofed by Apologetics. when you're curious to attraction to close extra purely message me.

Even then as it is now, the god of this age (which began after the death, burial, and ressurrection of the Christ) who blinds the minds of unbelievers is the deceiver (Lucifer). Unbelievers are blinded to the light of the Gospel. Justifying wrongs and confusing truth with lies is what he is able to do.

"And here is where we glimpse the enemy without. As Paul puts it, "The god of this age [Satan] has blinded the minds of unbelievers." As always, Satan uses pride to blind their eyes. They are so confident of their own ability to handle life, so sure that they have what it takes to solve their problems. To them, therefore, Jesus appears to be dispensable, hardly worth considering. They fail to see that He stands at the center of life and that all reality derives its content from him. To argue against Him is to argue with the very power that makes it possible to take the breath which voices the argument! Jesus is Lord, whether men know it or not, and ultimately "at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father" (Philippians 2:10-11)."

until we believe by faith that Jesus's death paid the price for our sins we are blind to the Spiritual Truth of God. Let us make man in our own image means that we need to be spiritual as God is Spirit. after one accepts Jesus as Lord of all their eyes are opened to His Word and their life is changed.
