first try a hot shower and just relax in the steam. second try a blowdryer directly in your ear on a low setting but still blows hot air(seriously).

Two things:
1. To clear ear from mucus take a nasal decongestant
2. To clear ear from material on the outside which can encourage such clogs and decrease your hearing, go to an "Earth" type store and ask for Ear Candles. Thay are muslin tubes that are coated in bees wax. You lie on your side and put the candle base in your ear. Holding the candle straight up have someone light it and the candle will pull unwanted material from your ear. It works I swear! They only cost a couple dollars.
Good luck!

Have you tried holding your nose and blowing? Have you warmed it with a real warm washcloth? Lay on the ear, not the other one. This is so the wax can run out. You could get some sudafed and it should clean you whole head out.

Have you seen your Dr.? Don't take your ears and hearing too lightly..I lost my hearing in one ear due to an infection. Have it checked . drink plenty of water , this will help thin the mucus also..and don't sniff, blow it out. You might need the Dr. to clean out that ear ..it could have a dried plug in it.. a Dr. can get it out safely.
