Any mammal with an intestinal system is capable of producing and releasing flatuation.
Cats and dogs CAN fart; For the record dogs' farts usually smell quite rancid.

Of course they do, just like us humans. What we take in and
some stuff not so pleasing, comes out the other end. When there is gas build up you fart and so does a cat and dog. You
get some of there food in you and heck your going to have some
bad smelling farts. Yes they do fart and they do stink. Your sister
isn't being stupid, shes right.

Yes i have heard my cats fart before. Rare but they have. My ex's mom had a Great Dane dog and that dog farted all the time. It smelled gross. I've never really heard either have a loud fart. They are usully the quiet "poof" sounding farts and then just smell bad.

I've never heard my cat fart, but when the dog does....everyone clears the room.

Yes they do like no other , We went to Canada one year on a fishing trip and I gave my buddies yellow lab a bunch of jerky before we drove home 15 hr trip and that dog farted all the way home .

You bet ... and they're deadly ... the worst ever! Even your fat Uncle Mike can't top a cat or a dog at the Annual National Fart Fest, even if he tops off with baked beans and cabbage every night!

boy oh boy can cats fart! I had one who could clear the room! She was worst than my husband! We ended up having to change her food and she got much better. The funniest thing was she would jump up on your lap, look you in the eye and then bang, the smell would hit you. Must have been some sort of kitty dutch oven thing!

everything farts! My cat farts bad when he eats cheap food. Most dogs have a farting problem. They do make animal "tums" to reduce the gas

Actually they can. They and everyone else almost fart ten to fouteen times a day. So no your sister is not being stupid. A shocker isn't it.
