Well my boyfriend and I were friends for a long time before we started going out. But I didn't like him like that. Then one day, he asked to hang out with me. I said sure. That day, I finally realized that I liked him back. All we did is hang out with some friends and play pool... then came back to my place and watched a movie (a really bad movie at that LOL). And now we've been together for 10 months.
If you don't like him like that, maybe you don't NOW. Maybe in the future you will. Just enjoy the friendship with him. If he truly values your friendship, he won't go anywhere.

Nicely say if I lost you as a friend I don't know what I'd do or who i'd talk to. Hint! Hint!. If that dosen't work say since we've been friends for so long and know so much about each other I wouldn't feel comfortable.

depends on if you want to be better friends with him or not. but sometimes when you date your good guy friends you never become as close so you need to explain that to him and say you two have to be friends no matter what

Think about why you only like him as a friend. If you are really close maybe give it a chance, because otherwise you will probably lose him.

be honest and tell him you only want friendship from him. Tell him you don't want to ruin the great relationship you have with him.

I think that you sould tell him how you feel...No use hiding if you are uncomfortable...I'm sure he will get over it and find someone new...
