My mom had cancer once in her ovary area. When she was about 20 yrs old. And recently I have been having pains in the same lowere region. Now, I went to the doctor and I had a sonagram done, they found a cyst. Is it highly possible of it turning into a tumor, of some sort. I have sharp, long lasting pains often, not during my period either?

Typically cysts are used to describe a non malignant mass. In most cases the cysts do not turn into cancer. You should probably talk to your doctor about your pains which may or may not be related to the cyst. As far as the cyst turning into cancer, if it is a cyst, I don't believe there is a high possibility of it turning into cancer.
