If you are teaching 2nd graders, then you have probably picked up strep throat. It is highly contagious and prevalent in classrooms in the younger age groups. Go get a culture at your Dr. office

My husband and I both had these symptoms one year and we thought it was viral as well. To our surprise, our Dr said it was allergies and gave us an allergy medicine. It worked. Just a possibility
