Prior to dinner I prefer to sip a Manhattan cocktail along with some crackers and cheese or pate'.
A Manhattan consists of 1 part sweet vermouth and 2 parts rye whiskey shaked vigorously in ice. Then poured into a stem glass and adding a maraschino cherry. There is also a version that uses bourbon whiskey. It's all a matter of taste! I don't care for bourbon. This cocktail is also served in an old fashioned glass over ice. Again, a matter of preference.

I just discovered a "new to me" drink..lol! Try Southern Comfort and Pimp Juice (it's an energy drink like RedBull). I am not sure what it is called but a bartender friend of mine made it for me a few days ago! It is very sweet and smooth like KoolAid. And it's green so that is fun! Be careful though, Southern Comfort can sneak up on you. Enjoy!

Fresh orange juice is great: Healthy, sweet and full of Vitamin C.
Fresh lemon juice is also great...and so is a yoghurt drink.
Any alcoholic beverage is harmful and bad tasting.
