1. Make a commitment to yourself, your girlfriend and your unborn child to be a good and decent father, even when you don't feel like it.
2. Find a well-paying job because a good bit of your income will now be going to child support.
3. Get some books on parenting, like the What to Expect series.
4. Find a more effective form of birth control.

If have sex and your girlfriend gets pregnate I think it's only right that you step up and take responsiblity for your actions. It took both of you to make the baby. So be a man enough to do the right thing and stick beside her 100%.

What do you mean was pregnant? Is she or isn't she? If she is then take care of your responsibilities if she isn't try to use birth control or some other method of protection so you won't have to worry about the WHAT IF'S?

I explain to my husband, at the time boyfriend that we did not have to get married because I did not want to be in a loveless marriage and put my children through all the pain. I was not sure if he loved me but I loved him. Any how, we ended up getting married, have three kids and love each other unconditionally. Talk to her and ask her your options, you don't need to marry to be a great father.

Accept responsibility and take care of her and the child. Even if the two of you part ways, the baby is yours and you need to work towards taking care of it.
