this is what works for me and my hair was above the ear about 8months ago and now its 1inch past my shoulder. my hair was thin too!
-no Tight pony tails
i wear pony tails like every day for school, and i use the plastic bands rather than rubber bands. also, if your band ever gets tangled or you're struggling to get it out, just cut it out. thats the best advice my hair stylist has ever given me, and its sounds so common sense like! if u can feel your hair being pulled in the pony tail....its too tight. i wear a loose pony tail, which is very hot right now...add some earrings and/or handband and/or scarf and you're ready to go!
-curling irons once every other week
do not over do it with the heat. try a body wrap by setting wet hair with rollers and dry. while still warm from the dryer, remove the rollers and wrap hair like usual (like a bee hive) and sit under the dryer for another 15-20mins. wrap and tie up at nite to maintain curl. very easy!
-no weave ponytails
the pins tug at the hair too much and punctures the scalp
-grease, condition, shampoo
i grease my scalp 3 times a week. u dont need very much. just make 2 or 3 parts at the crown and thats enough. dont over do it because it'll make your face greasy and that's just not cute. dont use grease on your actual hair, instead use something that is lighter in weight like hair moisturiser, or hair lotion. i wash my hair once a week and use 2 conditioners, one that is an intense moisturizer then a regular wash-out conditioner and rinse it out with cool water to lock in the moisture.
lol...sorry i didnt mean for this to be so long, heres just a few more tips:
motions has a wonderful product line! ived used everything, so if u have any questions about it contact me.
I do my own perms, because i hate the beauty shop, and i have no problems. i use a herbal perm that works very well. i would stay away from any perms that have to be mixed, thay are usually in a box. i find that the pre-mixed ones work best.
The #1 thing is to get your ends clipped every so often, 6-8 weeks. i do it whenever i get a perm just to keep track.
and to help with my thin hair, i get my hair cut into layers to make it appear thicker.

I use to have the same problems. My hair was thin ,very dry and broke off a lot. Now it is very full and 4 inches past my shoulders. Take a look at the Crown and Glory website it really helped me to grow my hair out. Remember good hair starts from the inside out.
The first thing I would do is if you relax your hair at home stop, and find a good stylist. The best way would be to see someone with healthy hair and ask them who does their hair. The home relaxers do not contain lye which can irritate the scalp but what they use in its place( Guanidine Hydroxide) actually makes the hair much dryer and more prone to breakage.
What you eat is also very important to hair growth. When I started to increase my protein intake ( lean protein) and green vegetable intake I noticed a big difference in my hair and skin. Make sure you drink a lot of water it helps hydrate the hair so that it breaks less often and will be good for your complexion.
Vitamins are also helpful for hair and nail growth. Biotin is great also but it makes some people breakout. I suggest MSM you can buy it at any health food store it will make your hair and nails grow super fast because it contains the sulfur your hair and nails need.
Extensions will help give your hair a rest from heat and relaxers DO NOT get micro braids as they are so small and will cause breakage. I like kinky twist. When you have extensions spray your hair with a spray that contains glycerin which will keep your hair supple. Sulfur 8 medicated spray for braids is really good.
Take a look at the website below it will tell you everything you need to know about how to grow Afro hair long and includes re-education on how to care for relaxed and natural hair. If you follow the steps here your hair will grow, mine did. The other site tell you everything you need to know about relaxers.

Start using a hair dressing that contains natural herbs and vitamins and minerals. using the balls of your fingers message your scalp. this will help the blood circulate, which stimulates the hair follices which will promote hair growth. Do this at least two times a week.
Also do not use rubber bands in your hair., they will break off your hair. Limit your use of heated hair appliances. They will dry out your hair and make it become brittle, and then it will break off. Keep adding the hair dressing to your hair at least two times a week.
Use Dr. Miracles Hair Products they work relly well.

Definately no harsh chemicals, heat, tight braid or tight twists. I would do weekly deep conditioning. But here is a product that both me and my mom use. I relax my hair and she has naturally long and wavy hair. I love their products. They are natural and smell so great. Their signature product, the Restorative Hair Treatment is great. I use is as a pre-shampoo treatment. I work it through my hair the night before I plan to wash it and it helps with my dry scalp. My mom uses it when she wears her hair natural.

here's what to do
1. Take an inexpensive daily multi vitamin such as 'One-A-Day'
2.Do not over brush your hair. With every stroke you damage your hair more. Brush only as much as you need to style the hair, then stop.
3.Buy a good quality brush or comb without sharp plastic or metal ridges. This is one of the common factors leading to split ends, as is over brushing.
4. Buy good quality salon products.
5.Don't constrict your hair with tight bands, hats, braids and the like. These also lead to split ends and hair breakage

most importantly stay away from heat.. try to wear your hair natural and avoid brushing/combing too hard and also using hair accessories that pull the hair too tight. moisturizing regularly is very important, when you're hair is dry it's brittle and easy to break off.

I really like both fruits and fresh vegetables better, regardless how they look and taste. You desire a little of both.

Usually, which too long for me. I think it depends on the guy as well as his face though. Certain guys may pull off long hair and other folks can't.

In the event it's a fruit they have seeds, otherwise it's a vegetable. And vegetables are usually grown in the ground while fruits are grown in trees.
