i have no sound on my pc and this keeps coming up that this file is missing

Mtlmnt5.sys is located in the folder C:\Windows\System32\drivers. Some malware camouflage themselves as Mtlmnt5.sys, particularly if they are located in c:\windows or c:\windows\system32 folder.
It is probable that all you need to do is reload the modem drivers. Many of the modems also have the sound built in these days. Reloading the modem driver might fix the sound driver.

go to start and click on search
type in the file name
you may need you windows disk
