WRONG DIRECTION.
I know that "financial hole" is the most difficult one to get out of, but....
The last thing you wan't to do is to get depressed- it's cliche, but it's true- the most important thing in life is HEALTH.
However, who ever said that, has never been in debt (you might think).
Try to cut down on your expenses.
If you have stuff, don't by replacements, because "it's a great deal". Just because something is on 80% off sale, doesn't mean you NEED it.
Because if you want' to get out of the "hole", for a little while, you'll have to sacrifice the things that you "want" for things that you "absolutely need".

But if your job isn't paying enought to even cover your bills- either ask for raise or change the job- YOU DON"T HAVE A CHOICE.

If your job is fine, and your problem is exessive spending- then do what i typed above ("need" not "want") - keep putting money in the bank, and only spend on neccesities- once you get a little lump of cash in the bank... you'll feel GREAT.

and for goodness sakes, who balances checkbooks anymore?!?!
internet banking, honey, is the way of NOW, not future :))))

GOOD LUCK
I BELIEVE IN YOU, and YOU should too.

BE STRONG, and be willing to CHANGE things in your life.

You are farther ahead than some of those I tutor... They don't even balance the checkbook !!

No I am not broke... I hoard money so I never am with out. I also keep $2000 in each checkbook that is NOT registered in the recording section so I have cush for an emergency. Amazing what you can live without when you rather have money than stuff that costs you money.

Not broke. I mean the bills are paid and no one in my house will go hungry. But I dont have a lot of money to just go out and splurge either. I'm thinking however for have a house, car and food to eat!

my bank has charged me £75 for the last three months. My credit card has maxed out and I still have two years more on the personal loan to pay off the car

it is a good job I have my love to keep me warm so I turn off the central heating to save a bit!!!

No. I'm worse than broke, I'm $140,000 in debt, which will be $250,000 by the time I pay it off. Student loans. I'm a doctor.

But who can you be depressed and claim you are broke if you have a computer??

At the risk of contributing to your depression, no. I have lots of rich relatives in their 80's who didn't breed. I am constantly balancing my cheque book and finding an extra $15k and thinking, where the hell did that come from? It feels good. Have you tried fantasizing?

Join the depressed club. lol. I am spent out because of the Holidays with buying gifts and things but look at it this way, it is almost time for INCOME TAX REFUND! lol. Hang in there and remember that it is only money. Too bad you couldn't have been born rich instead of so pretty....thats what my mom tells me lol

Don't feel depressed. It can cause you mental problems. I 've never feel dipressed in financial matters. The simple reason is: just spend less and you will feel tension less.
