He shouldn't be using any deo until he hits puberty. It could clog his pores and cause a serious infection.

Yes, it's safe. Mild skin irritation is possible, but probably won't last long. If it does, get a milder deodorant. They even make them for pre-teens now.

With 2 rather smelly teen grandsons who need deodorants and seem to forget a lot, I would take this opportunity to encourage him to use deodorant at 10 so he will have the habit of using it when he really, really needs it.

Sure - better than a teenagers B.O.

My 5 yr old son has always loved using Daddy's shampoo, soap, and deodorant. It has never caused a problem. Besides, if he wants to start using it now, it will start a good habit for the future.

Tag is just a scented alcohol spray. Old spice deoderant is a solid form of the same thing. no metals like aluminum, read the lables.

I dont see why they would be unsafe for any reason. My siblings were all fast developers and had to wear deoderant at that age.

Smelly little boys are no fun.

The first lady cracks me up. Like the kids pores will magically start to function like theyre intended upon putery or something, because they didnt at birth. lol. The worst it might cause is some acne like clogged pores, but new borns get acne.

Of course he wont get a serious infection.

If you're that concerned get him some burts bees all natural deoderant.

Yes. Many boys are going through puberty way earlier - I know a little seven year old boy already beginning it. Anyways, if you are really concerned, health food stores generally have all natural deodorants that are supposed to be safer somehow.

I had the same concern with my 7 year old son, so I had him use women's Secret deodorant for a few months and when he had no problem with that, let him use a man's deodorant. He has had no problems with it.

Any regular deodorant contains bad chemicals-bad for adults and children. Go to ulew.com, they have very natural deodorants with no aluminum products. Or try the crystal, I think that is quite natural, too.

Yes it should be safe. Best deodorants or anti-persperants for someone that age should not have aluminum or aluminum oxides as an ingredient.

My little boy (who will be 9 in may) had watched us use deoderant and wanted to use it himself.. It is just a part of growing up.. It won't hurt him.. it's not like he's eating it.. LOL.. or is he? J/K puberty really has nothing to do with it.. It's the bacteria that grows when presperation collects in thier little arm pockets =)

let him feel grown up.. buy him some of his own...

Just don't let him eat it =)
