Hello there..!!!

I'll break it down into three problem areas;
Internal - External - Overall ( or Cultural if you prefer)

Internal- Sunni/ Shia/ Kurd;
These three groups essentially hate each other with a burning passion that borders on the insane. Each has a piece of the land, but the tribes are intermingled across the bordering areas and the bigger cities. This is where Saddams brutality came into play, he simply killed EVERYONE as they rose up. This general FEAR of Saddam kept the nation "quiet". An estimated 30,000 Sunni's were slaughtered by Saddam in the south last decade alone.

External- Iran/ Syria/ Egypt/ Afghanistan
The external influences are begin felt here more and more with each passing month. The original 'freedom fighters' have been replaced by terrorist cells led by and funded through the above named countries. The most prevalent form of "recruitment" that goes on here is to kidnap a man's child. The man is then told to "perform an act" in order to gain his childs freedom. That act is usually to carry a package, drive a car, or otherwise deliver the bomb to its target. these 'packages' are wired for remote detonation because most of the 'volunteers' are now changing their minds. So the Foreign- Trained Cell leaders use a radio to blow up the 'package' before the their volunteer can unfasten the bomb vest and escape. Losses here in Iraq have been frightening, but the real losses are to the Iraqi people themselves. The primary "Killer" has been these ruthless Iranians, Syrians, and Egyptians.

Cultural-
The average Iraqi has been through an ordeal that is hard to comprehend for anyone that has not been here. Told what to do at gunpoint for most of their lives, they sometimes follow the directions of th "man with the gun" without second thought now. For anyone to seriously consider a "free, democratic Iraq" a very long process of national 'de-programming' will have to occur. those in power will likely never relinquish power. Those without power will follow who has the guns. There is a growing 'middle-class' that has 'some power, some choice, and some guns". It is this growing class that actually now is causing the greatest problems. They have just enough of each that they can act if they THINK someone in power is abusing it. However, the average Iraqi now simply assumes that those in power are corrupt automatically so this class sometimes lashes out blindly without even investigating if there truly is any corruption.

The entire world of Islam's biggest problem is that the "holy men" have been given the power to force people to adhere to their versions of Islam. Instead of being spiritual leaders and role models, these "holy men" are akin to Nazi SS officers. Do what they say or pay a corporeal (sp?) price.

With this power in place, the general population doesn't stand a chance of living a life that allows independent thinking; the brainwashing from birth is beyond words!

It's like there was a playground with two gangs of kids that didn't get along - but were held into check by an evil playground monitor. The US went in and got rid of the monitor. Now the kids are killing each other. Whose fault is it? Well, you don't get rid of the monitor unless you're darned sure you have a plan to keep the kids from killing each other. That's why "the rest of the world" thought this was stupid - remember?

Iraq's biggest problem?

Their biggie is that they must follow the Unholy Quaran that tells them that they must KILL.

The Verse Of The Sword from Al-Tawbah
Fight and slay the pagans (infidels) wherever ye find them, and seize them,
beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem of war." - Sura 9:5

"Prophet, make war on unbelievers and hypocrites, and deal rigorously
with them." - Sura 9:73

"Let not the unbelievers think they will ever get away. They have not
the power to do so. Muster against them all the men and cavalry at
your command, so that you may strike terror into the enemy of Allah
and your enemy... Prophet, (Muhammed) rouse the faithful to arms!
If they (the non-Muslims) incline to peace (accept Islam) make
peace with them." - Sura 8:59

"If they reject your judgement, know that it is Allah's wish to scourge
them for their sins." - Sura 5:49

"Believers (Muslims), take neither Jews nor Christians to be your
friends: they are friends with one another.
Whoever of you seeks their friendship shall become one of their number,
and God does not guide (those Jewish and Christian) wrong-doers." - Sura 5:51

"Not Jesus, but a look alike, was substituted and crucified at the Cross." -4:157
THIS IS BLASPHEMY - AND A LIE! No proof can be offered at all.

Saddam is a good guy. Within 24 hours of his return to his country all problems would be resolved between the Sunni and Shias.
Iraq problem is the Jews and the Vatican which is simply using the US govern. to do their demonic work.

When Saddam was around, the Iraquis could go shopping, their kids could go to school, people were safe and the economy was flourishing. Irak was not a democracy and did not want to become one.
Now that Saddm is gone, the economy does not exist, kids get killed on their way to school, no one goes shopping but they can vote if they survice the trip to the booth.

Saddam Hussein released 20,000 hardened criminals just before the war started. Hence, the anarchy.

Yes to all your questions.

Edit 1-Iraq was better? BS! Tell that to the people who lived there. Tell that to the Kurds who were gassed (btw-Iraqi courts established this fact)! Tell that to my buddy at the health club who saw his dad killed by one of Saddam's cronies! Ba-humbug!
