I hope your yahoo answers ID is not a definition of yourself, because the only way to get a nice stomach in a short period of time is to work on at least 3 things, at the same time: abs and exercises (aerobic + some swimming), healthy eating habbits (a diet, if possible, one that will suit your needs) and a lot of water.
So...by no means are you to be a "lazylegs" :)) Good luck!

Great answers huh? Try cutting back on calories and exercising more; sit ups, walking etc. One fairly easy exercise is to lay on a mat with your arms to your sides; raise your legs together as high as you can and slowly lower them so that your feet barely touch the floor. Do this as many times as you can making sure you breathe properly. I'm not sure how FAST it'll work but it should help. Another thing you could do is to camouflage your weight! Try to get an outfit that doesn't accentuate your middle, try a nice necklace or scarf or a pin that will make people look there rather than at the waist. How about a great pair of shoes?
There are tons of options. Have fun with them and Merry Christmas to you and yours.

How fast are you talking about? A month? A week. You can't do it that fast. It takes exercise and diet. Various kinds of sit ups (for the front and side abdomen muscles) along with a low carb diet (carbs are what causes the fat ring about the stomach area) is the key. But it won't happen overnight, or even in just a couple of weeks, no matter what those ads on TV say.

protein and working out is the way to go. i actually have some awesome protein shakes that you drink and they dont taste bad either. low carbs high protein. eggs, tunafish, meat, try to avoid potatos and things like that with protein and drink alot of water to help feel full. the shake i take is called gold standard protein by dr bill wheeler if you want to check them out, the website is www.mpdirect.com they average at $33 a can but i have quite a few if you were interested in trying them. definetly wouldnt be 33 each, more like 18.95 but really works. dont forget sit ups , crunchs each day but dont overdo it. walk more. thats about it. make sure if you go to a gym or even ifyour working out from home drink plenty of water throughout your workout

A lot of situps every single day (as many as you can do, and increase the amount you do as often as you can),,,,
as well as leg lifts (Lay on your back, and hold your legs straight, and lift your legs as high as they will go and hold for as long as you can. Then slowly go down. Do not let your feet or legs touch the ground. Lift your legs straight up, very slowly. Repeat and repeat, for as many as you can do.)
I guarantee these two exercises if done regularly will get your abdomen (lower and upper) nice and firm.
Good luck!

Here's what worked for me. There are two kinds of sit-ups ... the "normal" kind, works mostly on the abdominal muscles above the waistline. Reverse sit-ups work on the abdominal muscles below the waistline. Reverse sit-ups are exactly what it sounds like ... you anchor your *upper* body and raise and lower your *legs and hips*. The better you get at it, the more you straighten out your legs for the lifts. You'll feel the burn almost instantly, and it works, much better than regular sit-ups alone. Good luck! :)

the honest answer is its not possible really it does take a lot to get one of those trust me it takes lot of weight training on it such as ab machines, situps, and lots of cardio it helps burn off fat from the midsection when i asked a weight trainer the same thing he said that i can do as much situps and ab machines as i want but if i dont do lots of cardio all it will do is build muscle beneath my fat so my answer is eat right and excersice as much as possible both cardio and ab excersises good luck
